Eric S. Olney Appointed to 3-Year Term as Member of The Federal Courts Committee of The New York City Bar Association

Partner Eric S. Olney has been appointed to a 3-year term as a member of the Federal Courts Committee of the New York City Bar Association. The Federal Courts Committee addresses substantive and procedural issues relating to the practice of law in the federal courts. Recent areas of the Committee’s focus include: judicial vacancies and nominations; electronic discovery; amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil and Criminal Procedure; application of federal sentencing guidelines in fraud cases; and settlement and mediation. Members of the Committee also serve as liaisons to the Judiciary Committee, the Council on Judicial Administration, and the Task Force on National Security and the Rule of Law. In addition, the Committee periodically publishes a Handbook for Appeals to the Second Circuit.
