Alexandra Shapiro to Speak at Federal Bar Council on Upcoming Supreme Court Cases

On Tuesday, September 29th, Alexandra Shapiro will speak at a Federal Bar Council program previewing major cases that will be heard during the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2015-2016 Term. The program, moderated by the Honorable Paul A. Englemayer, will take place at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan U.S. Courthouse in New York City at 5:45 p.m. CLE credit will be provided.

Alexandra will focus on several cases of interest including Harris v. Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission and Evenwel v. Abbott, two cases involving Equal Protection Clause challenges to redistricting, as well as several criminal cases. The Federal Bar Council is an organization of lawyers who practice in federal courts within the Second Circuit. It is dedicated to promoting excellence in federal practice and fellowship among federal practitioners.
